IRIS is an annual Students’ Film Festival organised by the students of Mass Communication & Videography for the past six years. After tremendous success at the state level. IRIS is now ready to venture into the next level and host its first National Students’ Film Festival on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2015.

Beneath the surface is the tale of the silent distressed St. Inez creek which is slowly disappearing within the concrete mass of Panjim city. Like a vein it runs through the city connecting the inner areas of Panjim, a watery web of culture and tradition, flowing along the creek. An arm that stretches into the River Mandovi was once a great symbol of agility and purity. It now lies fractured and broken due to the negligence of the citizen.

The four centuries and more of the Portuguese rule had a definite and profound influence on the culture and cuisine of Goa. One of the many, and perhaps one of the most crucial gifts of the Portuguese to Goa was the art of bread making. An integral part of our culture for decades, the tradition is slowly fading away, replaced by unfamiliar migrant faces and a future which is yet to be determined.

Fontes de Goa is a documentary which highlights the conditions of springs in the state of Goa. Through this documentary, we are re-creating awareness about the medicinal values,
besides analyzing the potential of springs in Goa that could be promoted as tourism hot spots in the state.
